Dallas, Texas August 30, 2018 — The Club at Tartan Fields—an Arcis Golf property long recognized as one of the finest private golf and lifestyle clubs in central Ohio—has adapted a new name that, like the club itself, is no longer defined by golf alone.

“Beyond mere words, the name change is about the evolution of the club’s personality and character,” said Rick Burkardt, general manager at The Club at Tartan Fields. “We have grown to be so much more than a golf club. While golf remains important to the membership, The Club at Tartan Fields has become more family-centric and has an amazing array of lifestyle offerings.”

Home to an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, The Club at Tartan Fields (formerly Tartan Fields Golf Club) blends the time-honored traditions of golf with amenities that support a variety of interests, including tennis, swimming, and fitness. Arcis Golf has invested $2.1 million to transform the clubhouse, including a new dining area, bar, and multi-level patio with fire features that have proven especially popular gathering spaces.

The Club at Tartan Fields is a cornerstone of the community, located just north of Columbus. It hosts numerous special events, meetings, fundraisers for non-profits, and is a popular weddings venue.

The 18-hole golf course, that debuted in 1998, was designed by Palmer to combine classic design with a fair challenge for all golfers. Enhanced by a recent bunker renewal program, the layout sprawls across lush, gently rolling hills covered with trees.

“The golf course will maintain its standards of excellence,” explained Burkardt. “But the Tartan Fields you see today is not a golf-only club, which the former name might imply. The new name befits the club’s true identity and is a better representation of our membership’s strength and relationship to the community.
